About Me

My name is Melissa (a.k.a. Missy) and I am a wife to my darling hubby Jason and a new mother to my
beautiful little angel Elizabeth (we like to call her Betsy). I also have a lovely yellow lab cross
named Sheba and a sweet kitty named Molly.

I have a bachelor degree in Art and I have been painting for 20 + years. It is my true passion.
Betsy inspired me to specialize in painting portraits of children after I had painted a portrait of her
when she was only 9 weeks old. I also have a passion for painting animals. Sometimes I take the advice
from my favourite artist, Norman Rockwell. He had once said "If the composition doesn't work, just add a dog".

I am also a graphic designer and muralist. Besides art, I love music. I play the piano, guitar and trumpet and
I also sing and perform. I was once on Canadian Idol as well as participated in a singing group for YTV's Treehouse.
